In June of 2002 Christmas in Paradise opened in Gardiner, Montana. 

Gardiner is located at the northern entrance of Yellowstone National Park. The store was named after the beautiful valley to the north of Gardiner that is appropriately called Paradise Valley. 

Jeanette Cooper, the owner has lived and played in the beautiful mountains surrounding Yellowstone National park for 13 years. When she came up with the idea of opening a Christmas store the name Christmas in Paradise fit perfectly.
